IB Booster Club (IBBC)

The CHS IB Booster Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

It is dedicated to sustaining the elite standards of the IB program, through its core mission of providing the crucial financial, educational, and community support that standard public school funding cannot cover.

Empowering Excellence

Here is how the Booster Club directly impacts the CHS IB experience:

  • Enriching Student Resources: The club funds vital technology upgrades, specialized IB learning and math software licenses, and immersive experiences like grade-level field trips, college-prep initiatives, and student retreats.

  • Empowering Educators: To ensure teachers remain at the top of their fields, the club provides classroom grants, funds specialized IB training stipends, and sponsors attendance at academic conferences.

  • Building Community: The IB journey is rigorous, and the booster club ensures families and students don't navigate it alone. They organize hallmark community events, from the Freshman Mentor/Mentee Tailgate and the annual IB Family Potluck to exam celebrations and the Senior Medal Ceremony.

  • Championing the Program: The club actively supports recruitment and outreach through community open houses, student showcases, and welcome initiatives, ensuring the continued growth and diversity of the magnet cohort.

By bridging the gap between district resources and the high demands of the International Baccalaureate curriculum, the Booster Club ensures both students and teachers have the tools, funding, and community backing they need to thrive.

Annual Fund

Join the 2026–27 IB Booster Club Annual Fund Drive

Dates: September 7th - October 13th

While donations are welcome throughout the year, our formal Annual Fund Campaign is when we all come together as a community to invest directly in our exceptional program.

Our Target: $70,000 & over 50% Family Participation

Our Annual Fund is our primary fundraiser that powers the entire school year.

  • Our Suggested Donation: $250 per student: Our operational budget works out to approximately this amount per student.

  • Every Dollar Counts: Whether big or small, 100% of your donation has an immediate, positive impact on our students and teachers.

Where Does Your Donation Go?

Your contributions directly enrich the academic environment, funding vital initiatives that general school budgets do not cover:

  • Grade-Level Field Trips: Fully funding academic curriculum experiences across Atlanta for every student in the program.

  • Teacher Professional Development: Sending our exceptional educators to advanced training (like FLIBS) to bring fresh, globally-minded perspectives back to our classrooms.

  • Classroom Grants & Resources: Providing teachers with the exact tools and materials they need to support your children every day.

Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for some fun Annual Fund incentives and deep dives into our program's community impact!
